CandyVision: Home Run Derby Challenge

The 2024 Home Run Derby is shaping up to be a legendary showdown. We're giving you the chance to earn rewards by simply submitting your Derby predictions.

Rookie Challenge 

How to play: submit your predictions for the players you think will finish the Derby in the top 1 - 4 places (in order).

• 3rd place is defined as the player that did not advance from the semifinals but hit more home runs than the other player who did not advance.
• 4th place is defined as the player who did not advance from the semifinals, and had the least amount of home runs in that round.

You will also submit your predictions for the total number of home runs hit by all 8 players in the first round and the distance of the farthest hit home run in the first round (in feet). These inputs will be used in the event that a tiebreaker is needed.

Fans will receive points for:

• Correct players (8 points available)
  • You will earn 1 point for each correct player submitted. You will earn 1 additional point for correctly picking what place the players finish in.

Tiebreakers:

• In the case of a tie, we will move to the two tiebreaker questions. Your tiebreaker score will be calculated based on the combined difference of your answers to the tiebreaker questions in relation to the correct answer.
  • Example: the total number of HRs hit in round one is 160, you guess 150. The furthest hit HR in the first round is 120 feet, you guess 121 feet. Your tiebreaker score would be 11. The fan closest to 0 will win. If two or more fans are still tied, the winner will be randomly selected.

Pro Challenge

How to play: Access this exclusive experience by collecting a special edition Home Run Derby Gem for $5 (open edition) or being within the top 25 in the Candy League leaderboard. Purchases of this Gem are limited to 1 per account. Following the event, the Home Run Derby Gem will update to feature a compilation of swings from the winner. At that time it will be available to list on the secondary marketplace.

Once you've gained entry, you'll submit your predictions for the players you think will finish the Derby in the top 1 - 4 places (in order).

You will also submit your predictions for the total number of home runs hit by the winner and runner up in the final round, and the distance of the farthest hit home run in the final round (in feet). These inputs will be used in the event that a tiebreaker is needed.

Fans will receive points for:

• Correct players (14 points available)
  • 1 point awarded for each correct player submitted
  • 4 points awarded for guessing first place (the winner) correctly
  • 3 points awarded for guessing second place (the runner up) correctly
  • 2 points awarded for guessing third place correctly
  • 1 point awarded for guessing fourth place correctly

Tiebreakers:

• In the case of a tie, we will move to the two tiebreaker questions. Your tiebreaker score will be calculated based on the combined difference of your answers to the tiebreaker questions in relation to the correct answer.
  • Example: the winner of the Derby hits 27 HRs, you guess 25. The furthest hit HR in the final round is 300 feet, you guess 301 feet. Your tiebreaker score would be 2. The fan closest to 0 will win. If two or more fans are still tied, the winner will be randomly selected.
