In the candy world, the big showdown during Super Bowl XLV isn’t between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers. It’s between Betty White and Roseanne Barr.

Candy lovers want to know which seasoned comedian’s Snickers commercial is going to win the most laughs.

Is it going to be Betty White’s near cult classic from Super Bowl 2010 or Roseanne Barr’s 2011 debut during third quarter? (To be fair, Richard Lewis is also starring in the 2011 commercial, which could give Roseanne a leg up.)

Here’s a look back at the commercial that helped reignite Betty White’s career:

And here’s the teaser for Roseanne’s debut:

So, who do you think is going to win on Sunday?

Several months years ago when I was a freshman in college, I had a roommate who loved to eat stale yellow Peeps (only yellow and stale to the point of crumbly).

A few weeks ago, I found out that a family friend likes M&M’s after they’ve been microwaved for 30 seconds. My husband, on the other hand, freezes Snickers for super crunchy cold snacking.

Last night, my neighbor confessed that she adores Starburst fruit chews, but has an aversion to the red ones, which are my all-time favorite.

That said, I have a theory that most every candy lover has a “candy quirk” (i.e., you only like the edges of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup; you eat the sides of a Milky Way bar first; you only eat the blue M&M’s in the candy dish, etc.).

Prove my theory true by sharing your peculiar candy consumption habit (keep it G-rated or it will be tossed).

Everyone who leaves a comment after this post will be entered to win a $25 shopping spree at Candy.com.

See, it finally pays to love candy and have a quirk (or two).

If you poke around the Smoking Gun’s website, you’ll find published backstage contract riders (event specifications such as stage design, lighting systems, and catering needs) for rock stars and celebrities.

These road requests reveal interesting insights into A-list candy addictions …

There are some off-the-wall requests, too, like the Back Street Boys’ 24 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or Michael Bublé’s order for the local team’s hockey puck in his dressing room. (Bublé is part owner of the Vancouver Giants, so that may explain the puck collection.)

So, with all this insight, I got to thinking: If I were a touring rock star (dream on girrrrl), what one candy item would I put on a contract rider? That’s a pretty easy one for me. I’d go with Good & Plenty. It doesn’t melt, and if you’re jonesing for black licorice (which I do), it will do the trick.

Which one candy would you pick for you and your entourage?
